RCPsych: Supported and Valued

DAUK will be attending a 2 day conference organised by the Psychiatric Trainees Committee of the Royal Colleges of Psychiatrists. DAUK Editor Dr Natalie Ashburner has been helping to organise what promises to be a thought provoking event.

Dr Jenny Vaughan , DAUK Law and Policy Officer, will be participating in a session alongside Professor Colin Melville, Director of Education and Standards, and Dr Arun Chidambaram, Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist entitled “When things go wrong”. Jenny will be giving a talk entitled “the case for a just culture in the healthcare” following Professor Melville’s talk entitled “The GMC’s perspective on a just culture”.

Professor Simon Wessely will also be speaking on what he has learned from being a psychiatrist.
