We’re here for doctors
DAUK is a non-profit organisation, run by volunteers.
Why you should support us:
We advocate for doctorS
We speak up on the issues that matter to UK doctors, and to the NHS as a whole. We also support individual doctors. We advocated for Dr Hadiza Bawa-Garba throughout her appeal and were able to see Dr Nnaemeka Chidumije return to work as a surgical trainee, having been forced to leave the country due to visa issues.
We CARE ABOUT THE NHS
We are passionate advocates of the NHS. We are building a unique movement in our campaign Learn Not Blame, uniting doctors, patients, healthcare professionals and families in working towards a just culture for all in the NHS. This was launched in Parliament and attended by the Health Secretary.
We fight for the medical profession and the NHS, speaking up where others don’t. We led the campaign Scrap the Cap. This resulted in caps on Tier 2 visas being lifted for doctors, who had previously been unable to take up posts in the NHS and despite widespread rota gaps. Our campaigns have received widespread attention from the mainstream press.
