Dr Samantha Batt-Rawden spoke to ITV East Anglia news today about lack of PPE for NHS staff.
“Frontline NHS staff are extremely worried about this. We are dealing with a very infectious virus. One that carries a not insignificant mortality rate. And they’re being asked to go onto the frontlines with nothing more than a flimsy plastic apron and a bit of paper to protect their nose and mouth. This is not acceptable. You wouldn’t expect a soldier to go into battle without a helmet so why are we going onto the frontlines with a flimsy plastic apron and a paper mask.”
