DAUK writes in The Times calling for Indefinite Leave to Remain for doctors who have served during the COVID-19 pandemic

Writing for The Times DAUK committee member Dr Dolin Bhagawati made DAUK’s case for Indefinite Leave to Remain to be granted for all frontline healthcare staff serving on the frontline of the NHS during the pandemic. He said:

Boris Johnson’s decision to exempt NHS staff from the immigration health surcharge is welcome. But we must go further and offer our international workforce indefinite leave to remain. They make up almost a third of NHS workers and deserve more than clapping every Thursday outside No 10. They deserve to call the UK home.
