Dr Ellen Welch, DAUK co-chair, says in the Guardian that poorest people will suffer most as NHS is ‘neglected and private practice becomes the norm’

The Guardian has reported that the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is registered with a private GP practice offering £250 consultations. 

Dr Ellen Welch, a GP and co-chair of DAUK said: “If NHS general practice continues to be neglected and private practice becomes the norm, it is the least well-off who will suffer.”
