Dr Jenny Vaughan wins first British International Doctors Association Award for outstanding services to BME doctors

 DAUK’s new Law and Policy Officer Dr Jenny Vaughan has won a prestigious award from the British International Doctors Association for her work in gross negligence manslaughter. Dr Jenny Vaughan has worked tirelessly on behalf of two BME doctors convicted of gross negligence manslaughter, David Sellu and Hadiza Bawa-Garba. DAUK are incredibly proud of Jenny, and her expertise in law particularly in how gross negligence manslaughter is applied in England is a real asset to DAUK. Well done Jenny!

PRESS RELEASE NHS 10,000 Doctors Short: DAUK calls directly upon the Home Secretary to address Health Service Immigration Crisis

The Doctors’ Association UK has noted with great trepidation and concern, the potential for an abrupt reversal of the exemption placed on foreign doctors from Tier 2 Visa caps. This was inferred from a letter from Sajid Javid, the Home Secretary, to the Migration Advisory Committee, which was reported on 11th October 2018.
