DAUK front page of the Daily Mirror: harrowing stories of burned out NHS doctors bullied and broken

Dedicated to caring for the sick and vulnerable, junior ­doctors should expect to be ­supported and valued as they carry out their vital work. But hundreds have revealed they are subjected to bullying and harassment at overstretched hospitals that have been plunged into a staffing crisis. The Doctors’ Association UK has collated stories from over 600 doctors. The shocking report made the front page of the Daily Mirror.

DAUK co-ordinates open letter from 2000 doctors to Boris Johnson ahead of the Queen’s Speech

On the day of the general election results DAUK wrote to Boris Johnson with our key priorities for the NHS. The letter was signed by over 2000 doctors and published in The Daily Mirror. Key demands included funding for the NHS and social care, scrapping of the immigration health surcharge, scrapping the taper and annual allowance to fix the NHS pensions crisis and above inflation pay rises.
