DAUK on Sky News: NHS England apologises after investigation finds only 23% of health trusts have risk-assessed BAME staff

Dr Rinesh Parmar DAUK Chair said "To have just over 20% of trusts carrying out risk assessment for their BAME staff, three months after we raised concerns, and two months after the risk to BAME staff was acknowledged by Sir Simon Stevens, shows either dangerous apathy or callous disregard for the safety of BAME NHS workers.”

Dr Rinesh Parmar for The Times: letter in response to article “Health service is chaotic and dysfunctional, says NHS chief”

This morning a letter by Dr Rinesh Parmar of The Doctors’ Association UK was published in The Times in response to an article published last week entitled “Health service is chaotic and dysfunction, says NHS chief”. Whilst we all recognise areas in which the NHS can improve, stating that NHS staff have lost their vocation cannot be further from the everyday reality of frontline staff going the extra mile for patients.
